The Walled Garden

Parsonage Farm is a smallholding run on organic principles and we are committed to self-sufficiency as much as possible. We have a large walled south facing kitchen garden which has a mixture of fruit, vegetables, flowers, and a small spring fed stream. It has developed over the years and is now set out in a semi-formal parterre inspired design. Two colonies of honey bees are also part of the gardens. Guests are welcome to use and enjoy this beautiful space.

The Orchard

Beyond the walled garden is an acre of orchard, the source of the delicious juice served at breakfast. Each year in the autumn,we press and pasteurise several hundred litres and bottles of apple juice. We consider it a community press and our neighbours and friends bring their apples for pressing as well.

The Pizza Oven

On Friday evenings in the warmer months, we light up our wood fired oven and the 17th c "linhay" becomes a mediterranean style bistro serving delicious thin and crusty pizzas. There is always a campfire and sometimes even live music. This is a fun, relaxed and informal evening.

The Pottery

Our stable has been converted into a pottery studio. It is used by various local friends and two weekly classes are held here. There are pots for sale in our house "shop".
